Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class participant receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowship meals will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.
Our class will be studying JOSHUA, RUTH, 1-2 SAMUEL, & JOB beginning September 5th, 2024 through May 1st, 2025.
Please join us for this 30 week indepth study!
The book of JOSHUA picks up where Deuteronomy leaves off. After leading the Israelites out of Egypt and through 40 years of wanderings in the wildernes. Moses died. God remained faithful to His promise. He appointed Joshua to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, where they would at last find rest in a place of their own. Then RUTH & SAMUEL describe the faith journeys of men and women like us. They struggled in the same ways we do. We will see how God remained faithful. In JOB we address the age old question: Why does a good God allow suffering? We will learn from Job's painfully honest example that it's okay to struggle and question in times of great suffering and loss--provided we keep taking those questions to God and don't lose faith in Him. Given the theme of the book of Job, you will be surprised by the encouragement received from the lessons we will be studying in Job.
